Public Art Installation: Less is More or / Aude Moreau
The striking, large-scale installation Less is More or by Aude Moreau cleverly utilized the Toronto Dominion Center’s offices and their existing lighting to compose several words which represent a play on Mies van Der Rohe’s famous adage, “less is more.”
This site-specific installation, curated by Anne Roger and the team at Galerie Antoine Ertaskiran, in partnership with the TD Collection, was the culmination of the intervention the artist had been presenting in several cities across North America and had a duration of three nights, from September 2nd to the 4th, 2017.
The event was meant as a celebration of the 50th anniversary for the center whose towers were one of the last projects completed by the van Der Rohe in 1967, only a couple of years before his death in 1969.
